Full Screen Clock and World Time

A big clock for any screen and the current time in cities around the world.

00:00:00

The time comes from your device's clock. If your device clock is wrong, this page will be wrong too. Nothing you do here is sent to a server.

World time

Your city list and clock settings are saved only on this device.

A big clock for any screen

This page shows the current time in your time zone in large digits. Press Full screen to turn a laptop, tablet or monitor into a wall clock, choose between a 12-hour and a 24-hour display, and hide the seconds if you prefer a calmer look. Turn on Keep screen on if you want the display to stay awake, where your browser allows it.

World time and time zone differences

The table below the clock lists the current time in cities around the world. Each row shows the city's UTC offset and how far ahead or behind it is compared with you. Times follow the official time zone database used by your browser, so daylight saving time is applied automatically on the correct dates in each country. Some places use offsets that are not whole hours, for example India at UTC+5:30 and Nepal at UTC+5:45. Times shown in grey are late at night or early in the morning in that city, which helps when you plan a call.

TermWhat it means
UTCCoordinated Universal Time, the world reference for civil time. Local times are written as an offset from it, such as UTC-5 or UTC+9.
Daylight saving timeThe practice of moving clocks forward in warmer months. Dates differ by region, and many countries do not use it.
IANA time zoneA named zone such as America/New_York that includes the full history of its offset changes.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make this a full screen clock?

Press Full screen. The clock fills the screen, and you can turn on Keep screen on so the display does not dim. Press Escape to leave full screen.

Is the time accurate?

The page reads your device's clock, which most devices keep synchronized with internet time servers. If your device clock is off, the time shown here will be off by the same amount.

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. Time zones come from the browser's built-in time zone database, so each city switches on its own dates.

How do I add or remove a city?

Choose a city from the list under the table and press Add. Press Remove next to a city to take it off. Your list is saved on this device.

Why does a time show in grey?

Grey means it is late night or early morning there, roughly between 8 pm and 6 am, to help you avoid calling at bad hours.

Is my location used?

No. The page uses the time zone your device is set to and does not ask for your location.
